RESEARCH INFORMATION:

BIG NEWS: German scientists have developed artificial
bone marrow that allows stem cells to multiply in the lab,
and could help doctors treat leukaemia in a few years.
Before this it was impossible for scientists to grow the
haematopoietic stem cells needed to treat blood diseases
such as leukaemia, as they only retain their stem cells
properties when inside bone marrow.
